This
is a fairly big town and tourist center
situated on the north-western slopes of
Monte Poro, with one of the best and most
secure ports on the coast between Salerno
and Reggio Calabria.
In the port area you can experience the
picturesque fishing boats coming back after
having lain their nets for the day, or the
fish market (banchina Tripoli), and admire
the wooden boats that have been built with
the traditional axe technique.
